CIT will disable AppleTalk access to the CIT Public AppleShare server on 30 June 1999. From then on, the CIT Public AppleShare server will be accessable via TCP/IP only. Bear Access, Macintosh Software, and other items are available from the CIT Public AppleShare server.

To connect to the Public AppleShare file server via TCP/IP, Macintosh desktops need the new Chooser that comes with Mac OS 8. This new TCP/IP aware Chooser can be installed on Macintoshes running MacOS 7.6 or later using the AppleShare Client 3.8. When you are done using an AppleShare volume, drag it's icon from your desktop to the trashcan; doing so will unmount the volume, not delete it.
