Photography
The Photo Lab, located on the first floor of Barton Laboratory,
has been providing biological photography of insects and
other pests, and diseases, in support of Station research
for over 40 years. This work is done in the field, greenhouse,
lab, under a microscope, or in the studio. |
- Station photographers
also take portraits of researchers in the field, greenhouse,
lab, or studio, in environmental or more formal settings,
captured on film or digitally.

- Station photographers
also capture visuals during news and media events involving
faculty, staff, growers, processors, VIPs and others, for
public relations and media distribution. In addition, they
do product photography for the departments of food science,
horticulture, entomology, plant pathology, and Integrated
Pest Management.

- The Photo Lab offers
fast, high resolution scanning and optimizing of slides
and photographs, and other materials, and slide and print
production from digital images or PowerPoint files.

- The Photo Lab provides
archiving and database management of all electronic images.

"I
want to say thank you to Communications Services Unit for
going the extra mile to help me and the other fruit team people
over the last several weeks. In my case, it was primarily
the Photo Lab who went far beyond normal working hours to
assist me in doing power point slides. Both of these out-of
state presentations were huge successes for me and reflect
favorably on Cornell and the Station. I consider this a huge
success for the Station and Communications Services too."
