Beet Armyworm - Damage to Potatoes
 

Initially, larvae damage young plant terminals. Infested plants often have a shiny appearance caused by the silk webbing from the larvae. Late instars feed on older plant foliage. Extensive defoliation can stunt plant growth and reduce yields.
