The larvae of the potato flea beetle will feed on potato tubers causing pits and roughness. The pits appear as black spots on peeled potatoes. Adult flea beetles can cause serious damage to seedlings usually feeding on the undersides of leaves leaving numerous small round or irregularly shaped holes generally not all the way through the leaf. Flea beetles can also be a vector of potato diseases.
