Slugs feed on molds, decaying materials
and live plant tissues located in moist areas. They will eat foliage,
flowers and the fruit of plants. Slugs feed primarily at night and
leave a tell-tale slime or dry mucus trail. Slugs rasp or grate
at the surface of plant tissues leaving jagged holes. Slugs will
attack seeds hollowing them out. They also can devastate seedlings
reducing plant stands. |
