Adults:
Bulb mites are not an insect but an arachnid, like a spider having eight legs. The adult is approximately 0.02-0.04 inch (0.5-1 mm) in size and is creamy white with 4 pairs of brown legs.

  Eggs:
The eggs are very minute, ellipsoidal and a translucent white color. The female will lay up to 700 eggs.
 
Larvae:
Newly hatched larvae are about the same size as the eggs. They are translucent white and only have six legs.
 
  Nymphs:
The immature bulb mite, the nymph, has eight legs. The nymphs are white in color and 0.2- 0.5 inches long.
