Geneva:

Plum curculio oviposition developmental model is at 401 DD

(base 50°F); spray cutoff date is at 340 DD.

Codling Moth model is at 345 DD (base 50°F); 1st spray date at

250 DD.

Spotted tentiform leafminer 2nd flight began 6/14. DD (base

43°F) accumulated since then = 159.

1st Obliquebanded Leafroller caught in 6/7 in Wayne Co.

Although we preveiously reported 6/11 as the date of 1st

trap catch in Geneva, we're using 6/8 as the date from

which to accumulate degree days for purposed of the

sampling model because it is likely they were flying by

then (6/11 was our next scheduled monitoring date). DD

(base 43°F) accumulated since 6/8 in Geneva = 288. Sprays

directed at 1st egg hatch should begin by 360 DD.

Highland:

2nd generation Pear Psylla nymphs continuing to emerge.

Green Aphids at high numbers on pear terminals.

Near-peak flights of 2nd generation Spotted Tentiform

Leafminer, 2nd generation Codling Moth, and 1st generation

Obliquebanded Leafroller.

1st Apple Maggot adults caught on red baited spheres.

1st Obliquebanded Leafroller caught 6/4; DD (base 43 F)

accumulated since then = 357.
