Recap of the

Fourth International Symposium
on Cool Climate Viticulture & Enology


The Eastern Section of the American Society for Enology & Viticulture was host for the Fourth Cool Climate Symposium in Rochester, New York, 16-20 July 1996. Almost 800 people from around the world came to participate in the four-day meeting. The symposium series was initiated in 1984 in Eugene, Oregon, and continued in 1988 in Auckland, New Zealand, and in 1992 in Mainz, Germany. The 1996 symposium was held at the Rochester Convention Center in Rochester, New York, USA, and included pre- and post-conference tours of local wine-growing areas and research centers.
The Symposium Proceedings is available in print and CD format (works on Macs, DOS, and Windows '95). The price for either printed or CD format is US$75.
