We are sending you the program for the 12th International Enology Symposium which will be held for the first time in North America. The Symposium is held every 3 years and is organized by the International Association for Enology, Winery Management and Wine Marketing e.V.

The symposium registration fee includes most meals and transportation during tour A or tour B. You must organize your own transportation to Montréal. If you participate in the post-symposium tour, you will need transportation back from New York City (tour ends 12 June 1999 in New York City).

The technical program includes presentations from experts from many countries on current topics in enology and a visit to the Lallemand yeast production facilities.
The conference tour introduces you to the very dynamic wine regions of Eastern North America. The area of NE Canada and USA encompasses in diverse, beautiful natural environments several distinct wine regions with a wide range of excellent wines.

10:00: Discover two Quebec vineyards located in two different regions: L'Ortailleur (Estrie) and Dietrich Joss (Monterégie). Tasting and lunch. Followed by a presentation on "viticulture under difficult winter conditions". Guided tour of the city of Montréal . Montréal is the oldest port in North America. The city will delight you with its charm, the beauty of the St-Laurent river, and its multicultural atmosphere. Welcome dinner hosted by Lallemand Inc. with Northamerican wines will be served at the Chalet du Mont Royal, situated on Lac des Castors (Beaver Lake). |
