In the past, our prelim exams contained only multiple choice questions. However, this year (2007) we will be including a few other sections in the exams, which may include other types of questions, such as: simple definitions, matching questions, a few short answer questions, etc. This being the case, please realize that the example exam is of the older type, and be aware that the exams you recieve may have other types of questions.

If you miss an hourly exam, you are required to take a makeup essay exam during a scheduled exam period. Written reasons for missing the hourly exam must be provided. Going skiing is not an acceptable reason. If you miss two exams without reasonable cause, the point total will remain unfilled for one exam, as the makeup will only substitute for a single missed hourly.

Tasting Log is due on or before May 1.

The final exam will occur during the final exam period. The final exam will cover all of the material presented during the class, with a focus on the science of wine and beer. The exam will cover material from the textbooks as well as the material presented during class or on the website, and will be predominantly other types of questions than multiple choice (shuch as: short answer, fill in the blank, multiple correct answers, drawing of diagrams, etc.)
