Edward H. Lavin manages the Flavor and CharmAnalysis laboratories patiently teaching each new member how to use the tools of flavor research. Our most accomplished golfer, tennis player, guitarist and the outstanding employee of the year. Ed comes from a talented family and the Charm family could not survive without his talent. Katherine Kittel PhD '05 is a graduate of Cornell University MS '03 in Food Chemistry and the University of St. Andrews BSc. Honours '99 in Biochemistry with Microbiology and Biotechnology. She is minoring in Biochemistry and Chemistry. She is currently investigating individual differences in the human sense of smell using gas chromatography-olfactometry (GCO).
