On Saturday, September 15th, 2007 from 10AM to 4PM, Cornell University’s New York State Agricultural Experiment Station (NYSAES) will continue the Year-Long Celebration of its 125th Anniversary with a gala Open House that will be free to the public. The event will feature exhibits to educate, enlighten and entertain the whole family, along with food and beverages and a number of vendors representing some of the small businesses NYSAES has helped foster over the years.

The Open House will highlight the numerous scientific contributions the Experiment Station has made over the years with historical displays and walking tours. In addition to the historical aspects, the Open House will also showcase the work of Station scientists that is shaping current agricultural and food science practices with displays, interactive exhibits, and field tours of cutting-edge research and extension programs. Hands-on exhibits for children of all ages will hopefully inspire future generations of scientists.

Come celebrate with us the founding of one of the world’s most important agricultural and scientific institutions, learn a little, and have some fun along the way!
