Place: Lee Library, NYS Agricultural Experiment Station, Geneva, NY and Cornell University, Ithaca, NY Library Homepage
Details: Come to the Finger Lakes wine region and enjoy two days of interaction with
colleagues who have a passion for the literature of wine and grapes. Join
librarians, writers, historians, collectors, and others interested in the business,
science, history and romance of wine and grapes.
Monday, September 15: (Geneva) Business meeting, Traminette grape & wine
background and tasting, followed by tours at the NY State Agricultural Experiment
Station, Geneva.
Tuesday, September 16: (Ithaca) Tours of wine and grape exhibits at
several libraries on the Ithaca campus of Cornell University followed by an
afternoon of wine and grape history talks. Wrap up the day with a presentation
on the current status and future of the NY wine and grape industry by Jim Trezise,
Pres. NY Wine and Grape Foundation and a reception at Song of the Vine: A History
of Wine exhibit hosted by the Rare and Manuscripts Collection, Kroch Library.
There is no meeting registration fee. There
are fees for participation in dinners and transportation.

register – Registration preferred by September 7, 2008
