Rare Books

Library CollectionThe Lee Library maintains a respectable collection of rare books on fruit and vegetable culture, with a special emphasis on grape growing and wine making. The rare book collection is primarily comprised of English, French and German language titles from the 18th and 19th centuries. All titles are included in the Cornell University Library Catalog and are available for use in Lee Library by appointment. More than 100 of the oldest and rarest titles, some from the 16th and 17th centuries, have been relocated to special collections on the Ithaca campus, where more secure and environmentally desirable conditions exist. These titles are listed in the CU Library Catalog.
