A specific emergency exemption has been granted by EPA to New York State for the use of quinoxyfen (Quintec) on melons, winter squash, gourds, and pumpkin (non-edible-peel curcurbits) for control of powdery mildew (Podosphaera xanthii) for the 2005 growing season.
